Job Overview:

POSITION TITLE: ALLOY OPERATIVE

DEPARTMENT: ALLOY WAREHOUSE

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The Alloy Operative plays a crucial role in the warehousing, cutting, preparation, and delivery of alloys utilized in the production of investment castings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and follow alloy warehouse charge preparation instructions.
  • Conduct type testing of alloys and roll-stamp ingots.
  • Cut and prepare alloy charges according to specifications.
  • Adhere to detailed procedural instructions.
  • Respond effectively to manufacturing demands.
  • Accurately identify and sort revert materials.
  • Operate forklifts as necessary.
  • Assist in loading and unloading alloys to and from the warehouse.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Comply with 6S standards.
  • Receive and identify alloys per operational instructions.
  • Input data electronically and generate barcode labels for accurate charge identification.

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of three months on-the-job training.

Initiative and Ingenuity:

Expected to demonstrate normal initiative and ingenuity.

Physical Effort:

Normal physical effort required; must be able to lift up to 30 pounds consistently, with the ability to handle heavier weights using appropriate lifting devices.

Responsibility:

Accountable for personal performance; ensure that all parts meet quality standards. Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to dirty and extreme temperature conditions typical of a warehouse environment. Potential exposure to outdoor elements when transferring alloys.
