Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Banquet Cook to join our team at Hard Rock Casino Rockford. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including grilled, fried, broiled, baked, boiled, braised, and poached dishes.
  • Ensure that all plates and pans are aesthetically appealing and cooked to the specifications of the customer and the chef.
  • Recognize and properly place a variety of sauces on all entrees featured on daily menus.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Assist coworkers to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen and perform duties for special events and parties.
  • Ensure the proper storing of foods, including those from previous functions, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Culinary apprenticeship, Associate's Degree from a culinary institution, or equivalent with some industry experience
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Commission
  • Must successfully pass background check and drug screening
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and able to work flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends
