The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who plays a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in a mental health setting. This position requires a collaborative approach to care, working with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Prescribe, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care.
- Collaborate with health team members to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- A minimum of three (2) years' experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred.
- Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
- CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint within 30 days of employment.
- Successful completion of CPI training and Service Excellence Training within 90 days of employment.
