About the Role

Lee Health is seeking a motivated and experienced pharmacist to join our team in the Emergency Department. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for the preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of medications used throughout the facility.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy practice, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for sustaining an environment for the safe, rational, effective, and efficient use of medications prescribed to patients of all age groups.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, dispense, and monitor medications used throughout the facility
  • Sustain an environment for the safe, rational, effective, and efficient use of medications
  • Directly supervise technical support personnel
  • Perform all job duties in accordance with applicable State and Federal laws, regulatory agency standards, professional practice standards, and policies and procedures of the health system/pharmacy department
Requirements
  • PharmD required or BS Pharmacy degree with equivalent and acceptable experience from a College of Pharmacy accredited by American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP)
  • Five years of professionally responsible pharmacist experience required for Bachelors degree holders
  • One year of recent inpatient hospital experience as staff pharmacist or pharmacy intern in a general medical/surgical hospital preferred for PharmD candidates
  • State of Florida Department of Professional Regulation, Registered Pharmacist Licensure
