JOB TITLE: PERMIT CLERK/TECHNICIAN

POSITION OVERVIEW:


• Respond to incoming inquiries from contractors, municipalities, and other stakeholders regarding inspection scheduling.


• Coordinate inspections requested via phone and electronic communications.


• Initiate new projects within our operational system.


• Offer assistance to field inspectors as needed.


• Provide copies of inspection documentation upon request.


• This position involves 6-8 hours daily of phone communication and inspection scheduling.


• Liaise with municipalities concerning permit applications, inspections, and problem resolution.

Must be a proactive individual, capable of working collaboratively and independently. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

This role requires clerical and technical support within the scheduling division.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Proficiency in typing, data entry, and clerical tasks is required.

Must be technologically adept, with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with various software and databases.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A High School Diploma or an Associate's Degree (preferred) along with 2-5 years of experience as a certified permit technician, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
