POSITION: BENEFITS MANAGER
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Benefits Manager will be responsible for the strategic development, execution, and oversight of the company’s benefits programs. This role is pivotal in evaluating the effectiveness of these programs in attracting and retaining top talent while managing the associated costs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and management of both new and existing benefits programs in line with established plan documents.
- Engage with management to identify and address benefits-related challenges.
- Manage relationships with external payroll and benefits service providers.
- Administer a comprehensive suite of benefit plans, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k, COBRA, and Flexible Spending Accounts.
- Evaluate the benefits administration process, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements.
- Ensure compliance of all plan documents and summary plan descriptions, including timely submissions of required governmental reports.
- Coordinate the annual open enrollment process for active employees and COBRA participants, ensuring system integrity and effective communication.
- Provide guidance and support to management and employees regarding existing benefits.
- Resolve complex issues related to employee benefit plans.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing benefit plans.
- Manage necessary audits of benefit plans and coordinate annual filings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience with online enrollment systems.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment, coupled with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experience with ADP Software is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills within a team setting.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in interactions with senior management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.
