Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dietary Aide to join our team at Diversicare Healthcare Services & Diversicare Ther. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our patients and residents by assisting with food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining a clean and safe dining environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with food preparation, including meal planning, food handling, and serving
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and residents, ensuring their dietary needs are met
  • Maintain a clean and safe dining environment, adhering to strict sanitation and safety protocols
  • Operate dish machine and various food service equipment
  • Assist with tray line assembly and restorative dining programs
  • Food preparation as assigned
  • Clean and de-lime dish machine
  • Store clean equipment and utensils
  • Assist in maintaining preparation and service area in sanitary condition
  • Help put away stock
  • Set up dietary tray cards
  • Deliver food carts to resident meal service location areas
  • Empty garbage in dumpster and sanitize garbage cans
  • Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and facility staff
Requirements
  • Able to communicate and follow instructions
  • Food service experience is preferred
  • Long term care experience preferred
  • Must be qualified in accordance with state specific dietary and nursing home requirements (such as certifications, etc.)
