Cage Cashier

Job Summary:

The Cage Cashier is a key member of the Gun Lake Casino team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and safeguarding the assets of the casino. As a Cage Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for guests, handling cash and cash equivalents, and ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safeguard the assets of Gun Lake Casino by handling cash and cash equivalents with precision and accuracy.
• Provide exceptional customer service to both external and internal guests, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
• Perform exchanges of cash and cash equivalents, including cheque redemption, check cashing, EZ-Pay ticket redemption, and credit card advances.
• Log specific transactions as set forth by Title 31 regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with Gun Lake Casino standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Work experience in the gaming or hospitality industry is preferred.
• Must obtain a Gun Lake Tribal Gaming License.
• Minimum of three (3) plus years of experience handling currency and currency equivalents in a banking and/or retail environment.
• Prefer a minimum of three (3) plus years providing guest service.
• Ability to gain a basic understanding of gaming and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to Title 31 compliance and reporting.
• Ability to learn to use all Cage-related equipment such as coin sorters, currency counters, and personal computers.
• Ability to work varied schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays as business demands.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
• Must have the manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, run, and climb stairs for the duration of shift.
• Must have the ability to access all properties and areas.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance.
• Ability to read, write, and input data into the computer.
• Ability to stoop, crouch, and kneel.

Work Conditions:

Work is typically in an office environment or out on the casino floor. Work areas may be warm, cold, or noisy. Tasks may be required to perform from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp.
