Job Summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our Transport Team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in need of critical care transport services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide routine and complex respiratory care to patients, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation, oxygen therapy, and airway management.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Ensure patient care meets quality standards established by the hospital, department, and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain all skills and knowledge necessary to provide safe, effective, and developmentally appropriate respiratory care to all ages of patients.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and care delivery.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
  • Current Florida Respiratory Therapist Licensure.
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association or must be obtained within 120-day orientation period.
  • Current NRP certification if working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a clinical setting.
  • Minimum of 2000 hours caring for Level II or III neonatal patients as defined by Florida Rule 64J-1.006.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: Minimum $28.87 per hour - Maximum $46.20 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
