Job Opportunity

Adecco is currently hiring for a skilled Powder Coater at our client in Newport News, VA. This position requires 1-2 years of previous powder coating experience and working knowledge of proper powder spraying techniques. The hourly pay rate starts at $16.00.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare metal parts for powder coating by applying masking tape, rubber plugs, and caps to parts, hardware, and holes.
  • Load and unload the powder coating conveyor line of sheet metal fabricated parts.
  • Apply powder coating finish to metal parts in an automated and/or manual electrostatic powder coating booth.
  • Produce a maximum number of coated parts in minimum time by working efficiently.
  • Use the correct powder per customer specification, with the ability to read basic blueprints being helpful.
  • Monitor quality during production.
  • Keep production records, including daily records of parts, colors used, maintenance performed, and any problems occurring and addressed.
  • Maintain equipment by troubleshooting malfunctions, completing preventive maintenance requirements, and schedules.
  • Identify, count, and label parts.
  • Packaged finished parts for shipping.
  • Install nuts, bolts, rivets, etc. by hand or with hand tools.
  • Move pallets with a pallet jack.
  • Follow company procedures and safety rules.
