Job Summary

The Radiologic Technologist II is a key member of the imaging team at Kettering Health, responsible for performing a wide range of radiographic examinations using both fixed and portable equipment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiographic examinations, including c-arms/surgery, with a focus on delivering high-quality images and excellent patient care.
  • Work under limited supervision, exercising independent judgment and initiative to ensure efficient and effective imaging services.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, fellow workers, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Provide imaging services to all patient populations, including neonates, infants, children, adults, and geriatric patients, with regular exposure to ionizing radiation.
  • Work irregular hours, including overtime and on-call shifts, to meet the needs of the imaging department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and assist in other areas during low-volume periods.
Requirements

Requirements:

  • Registered as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Valid Ohio License as a Radiographer.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Ability to use a wide range of radiographic equipment, including mobile units and portable C-arm machines.
  • Willingness to learn new procedures and operate new equipment.
  • Ability to deal tactfully and professionally with physicians, patients, and coworkers.
  • Ability to tolerate much standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately.
