Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our Southern Division, GA SMA operations, reporting directly to the SMA Aggregates Sales Manager. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue and margins through disciplined market management.
  • Maintain favorable and effective relationships with current customers, identifying and capturing new business opportunities.
  • Prospect and acquire new customers, leveraging market trends and competitor analysis to inform sales approaches.
  • Analyze market conditions and develop action plans to capitalize on shifts in the market.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product quality and availability, driving sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in overseeing the sales process from pricing to contract preparation, forecasting, and credit and collections.
  • Assess sales functions and potential on prospective acquisitions, providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of success in a sales environment.
  • Sales experience in the aggregates, asphalt, construction, or related industry is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the marketing area is preferred, with a strong understanding of market trends and competitor analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree required, with a focus on Business or Construction Management preferred.
  • Proven sales, negotiation, and customer service skills, with excellent verbal, written communications, and presentation skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Occasional overnight travel is required.
