Job Title: Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at the Naval Health Clinic in Newport, RI. As a Physician Assistant, you will provide family practice care to our U.S. Navy and their families, working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family medicine, with experience in providing primary care services to patients of all ages. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care, while also participating in educational lectures and in-service training for staff members.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide family practice care to patients of all ages, including routine check-ups, acute and chronic condition management, and minor trauma care.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in educational lectures and in-service training for staff members to enhance their knowledge and skills.
  • Prescribe medications and immunizations as approved by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
  • Perform specific diagnostic and therapeutic practices and procedures within the scope of practice.
  • Establish collaborative rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams to promote and facilitate primary care services.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Graduate from an accredited college or university certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
  • Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
