Position Summary

The Risk Management Specialist will oversee and manage groups of agents in designated regions, ensuring timely handling of forfeitures and judgments to protect Bankers from financial losses. Responsibilities include recruiting attorneys and recovery agents to file motions and locate defendants who have missed court appearances. The role also involves liaising with court clerks to clarify rules and regulations, processing incoming agent reports, and managing outstanding receivables.

Key Responsibilities

Forfeitures and Judgments Management: 70%

  • Address forfeitures, judgments, demands, and inquiries by specified deadlines to maintain operational compliance.
  • Consult with agents regarding their capacity to manage significant bond forfeitures, including collateral discussions and recovery assistance.
  • Engage fugitive recovery agencies for apprehending defendants.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to review cases and submit necessary documentation to the courts.
  • Communicate with court officials about the status of bond forfeitures and upcoming hearings.
  • Review incoming satisfactions and assist with any necessary resolutions.
Accounts Management: 20%
  • Engage with agents to resolve outstanding accounts receivable issues.
  • Draft discrepancy notices and journal entries to maintain accurate accounts.
  • Prepare client data to inform decisions regarding rate adjustments, collateral withdrawals, and underwriting limits.
  • Ensure financial obligations to the court are met, including verifying bond amounts and sending payments.
  • Provide clients with monthly statistical updates.
  • Address issues related to non-compliance or late reporting from agents.
  • Complete additional projects as assigned.

On-Call Responsibilities: 10%

  • Utilize mobile technology to work independently outside of the office.
  • Respond to transfer bond calls and assist agents with their inquiries.
  • Research and resolve issues related to agent powers.
  • Address other agency-related concerns as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years managing claims and losses.
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounts management with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment for 3+ years.
  • 5+ years of customer service experience.
  • 1+ years of accounts receivable experience.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office, for 2+ years.
  • 5+ years in an office setting, including remote work experience.
  • 3+ years of collaborative team experience.

Preferred Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree and familiarity with legal practices, including court documentation and state statutes, are preferred.
