Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Carpenter Helper to join our team. As a Carpenter Helper, you will assist carpenters in the construction, installation, and repair of structures. This is a great opportunity to work with a reputable company and gain valuable experience in the construction industry.
Responsibilities- Assist carpenters in the construction, installation, and repair of structures
- Perform routine duties as directed by the carpenter, including keeping the work area clean and restocking supplies and materials as needed
- Cut pre-marked material or fixtures using civil equipment and power tools under the supervision of carpenters
- Must be safety-minded and adhere to all safety policies
- Complete all additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Minimum 1 year of experience in heavy construction with some experience with Symons and gang forms systems
- Must strive to continuously build knowledge and skills
- Listen and get clarification at all times
- Welcome feedback from carpenters
- Must be able to identify hand tools commonly used by carpenters
- Must be able to describe the use of tools
- Must be able to state the general safety rules for operating power tools and the safe use of hand tools
