Job Summary
At Newton Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST to join our team. As an occupational therapist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals overcome physical, mental, or developmental challenges that limit their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs).

About the Role
This is a 13-week contract position with a starting date of January 13th, 2025. The occupational therapist will work on 10-hour days, 40 hours a week. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with patients of all ages, providing individualized treatment plans to improve fine motor skills, cognitive abilities, and overall functional independence.

Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments to understand patients' needs, strengths, limitations, and goals.
- Use standardized tests, interviews, and observations to evaluate physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment results, addressing specific patient needs.
- Set measurable goals for improvement in areas like self-care, mobility, work performance, and cognitive skills.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field required.
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Kansas or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire date.
