Join KBR's Dynamic Team

KBR is seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator/Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to enhance our Weaponeering And Stores Planning (WASP) team. This role is essential for managing the infrastructure, ensuring configuration and data management, and administering systems critical for software engineering and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive IT support within a Windows Active Directory environment, deploying standard office software applications.
  • Assist with DoD Cyber Security initiatives, including vulnerability remediation and compliance documentation.
  • Enhance the cybersecurity framework of the DoD Information System by utilizing commercial and government tools, managing compliance through the NIST Risk Management Framework.
  • Coordinate system maintenance and evaluate software and hardware solutions to support operational needs.
  • Deliver direct customer support by troubleshooting issues, understanding requirements, and implementing enhancements. Maintain documentation and guides as necessary.

Essential Qualifications:

Citizenship & Security Clearance: Must be a US Citizen with an active Department of Defense Secret Security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Education: An Associate degree in IT or a related field is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Certifications:

  • CompTIA Security + CE certification or one certification from each of the following categories:
  • Category 1, IAT-II: (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
  • Category 2, IAM: (CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, Security+ CE, HCISPP)

Experience:

  • 3-6 years of experience in IT and Cyber Security program support as an ISSO.
  • Familiarity with the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) network scanning process.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in supporting an Active Directory environment.
  • Experience with SSL Certificate management.
  • Knowledge of eMASS, VRAM, or XACTA.
  • Ability to create and maintain essential documentation.
  • Experience performing System Administrator tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in ACAS network scanning.
  • Knowledge of NIST SP and Risk Management Framework.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2012 or later.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft System Center and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with US Navy network systems.
  • Interest in ongoing professional development.
  • Understanding of general cybersecurity principles.
