Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Child Nutrition Worker to join our team at Nebo School District. As a key member of our food service team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students by preparing and serving nutritious meals that meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve food items that meet mandated nutritional requirements and student requests
  • Maintain facilities and equipment in a safe and sanitary condition
  • Assist student workers in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
  • Monitor food items for temperature, quantity, and quality
  • Clean kitchen and cafeteria areas to ensure a safe and sanitary working environment
  • Maintain equipment, storage, and food preparation areas in a sanitary condition
  • Participate in department meetings, in-service training, and workshops as required
  • Report equipment malfunctions to ensure equipment is in safe working order
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food Handlers Permit
  • Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
  • Meets Continuing Education Requirements
  • Ability to work with others, adapt to changing work priorities, and meet schedules
Working Environment

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some climbing and balancing, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling, and significant fine finger dexterity.

Generally, the job requires 5% sitting, 20% walking, and 75% standing. The job is performed under temperature extremes and under conditions with exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
