Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to guests, riders, and other stakeholders, ensuring a positive experience at the Equestrian Center.
  • Facility Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the Equestrian Center facilities, including cleaning, stocking supplies, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
  • Horse Care: Assist with the care and maintenance of horses, including feeding, watering, grooming, and turning out horses as directed.
  • Event Support: Assist with events and operations during evening, nights, or weekend hours, ensuring a seamless experience for our guests.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate any issues or customer complaints to the Equestrian Center Manager on shift, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining a positive customer experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Currently enrolled as a student at Liberty University.
  • Certifications: Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification.
  • Experience: Prior horse experience (ownership, stable work, and/or professional equine experience).
  • Availability: Ability to work up to 18 hours per week, with flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, early mornings, afternoons, and late nights.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years prior horse experience (ownership, stable work, and/or professional equine experience).
  • Customer Service: Experience in a customer service position, with a focus on providing exceptional customer experiences.
  • Equine Industry: Experience working in the equine industry, with a strong understanding of horse care and management.
Abilities and Competencies
  • Communication: Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, conveying clear and well-articulated information to other staff, students, and visitors.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to intuitively reason, analyze information and events, and inform supervisor as necessary, recognizing potential hazards and preventing them.
  • Physical and Sensory Abilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, work in all-weather conditions, and handle horses, equipment, and materials, with a minimum lifting capacity of 50 lbs.
