Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Cashier to join our team at Natural Grocers. As a key member of our front-end team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing cash handling and inventory, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide World Class Customer Service and a positive customer experience as the number one priority.
  • Cash Handling and Inventory: Manage cash handling and inventory, including completing the Daily Sales Report (DSR) and cashier closeout responsibilities.
  • Training and Development: Train and develop cashiers, ensuring they are knowledgeable about our products and services.
  • Store Operations: Assist with store operations, including maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that front-end sets are full and well-maintained.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, cashiers, and management to ensure a smooth and efficient shopping experience.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year of cashiering experience and 1 year of supervising others preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, ability to multitask, and strong communication skills.
  • Certifications: Ability to pass food safety training courses and/or certifications as required by law and maintain compliance by keeping certifications up to date and registered if applicable.
