Battalion Chief

The Department of Forestry & Fire Protection is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Battalion Chief to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our fire department and ensuring the safety of our personnel and the public.

• Oversee the daily operations of the fire department, including fire suppression, rescue, and emergency medical services.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve fire safety and prevention in our community.
• Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure effective emergency response and coordination.
• Provide leadership and guidance to our firefighters and support staff.
• Develop and manage budgets and resources to ensure effective use of departmental funds.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a firefighter or in a related field.
• Proven leadership and management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
