Executive Pastry Director

Bread Alone Bakery, a renowned organic bakery since 1983, is seeking an Executive Pastry Chef to lead its pastry and viennoiserie program. This role encompasses both administrative and hands-on leadership, with a focus on maintaining and elevating product standards while driving operational efficiency.

• Program Leadership: Lead and manage the pastry and viennoiserie program, ensuring high standards of quality and consistency.
• New Product Development: Develop new products and recipes in collaboration with the Head Baker, considering trend, customer feedback, and seasonality.
• Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, production planning, and quality control.

• At least 4 years in a management role within a pastry program or similar production environment.
• Prior experience with laminated doughs, cakes, pies, chocolate, etc.
• Proficiency in recipe development, equipment troubleshooting, and cost management.
• Able to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.

The estimated salary range for this position is $72,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
