Job Summary

The Patient Care Coordinator works in the front office of our medical clinics, responsible for greeting patients, answering phone calls, activating patient files, and moving patients through a pre-determined protocol to ensure a smooth visit with our clinic providers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Greeting and Registration: Greet incoming patients in person or over the phone in a friendly and professional manner, and register new patients and verify patient information for existing patients.
  2. Pre-Visit Planning: Complete pre-visit planning, including contacting patients for updated insurance, completing insurance verification, and updating patient records.
  3. Administrative Duties: Collect co-pays and payments when needed, answer inbound calls to schedule patients, and act as a liaison to clinical staff for patient questions.
  4. Outbound Calls: Complete outbound calls to patients to schedule appointments.
  5. Confidentiality and HIPAA: Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
  6. Attendance and Teamwork: Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility, and the ability to work in a group but complete assigned tasks individually.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or High School Equivalency, with strong computer skills required.
  • Preferred Experience: Some college medical, business, and accounting focus, with customer service experience.
