As a Pharmacy Trainee, you will engage in various technical, distributive, and administrative tasks under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include receiving, sorting, compounding, processing, and preparing medication orders, with increasing responsibilities as you demonstrate your skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of medications.
- Follow established protocols and procedures.

- Complete assigned tasks and additional duties as needed.
Educational Requirements:
Completion of a High School diploma or equivalent is essential. Candidates must be accepted into a Doctor of Pharmacy program at an accredited institution or be in their first year of such a program.
Training Requirements:
Successful completion of a competency checklist within three months following orientation and training sessions is mandatory.
Essential Skills:
Strong communication skills are vital for effective interaction with healthcare teams and patients. The ability to prioritize tasks is crucial to enhance patient care and minimize potential risks.
Licensure Requirements:
Applicants must submit an application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the hire date and must obtain it within the specified timeframe.
