Diagnostic Imaging Role

Kindred Hospital Sycamore is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, relay, and document verbal, facsimile, electronic, and/or telephone orders in the patient's chart as permitted by State and Institutional policies.
  • Follow prescribed techniques in administering general and specific X-rays, including adjusting equipment, determining proper voltage, current, and desired exposure time, arranging immobilization and support devices, and selecting proper film.
  • Determine technique for ionizing radiation during radiologic exams.
  • Prepare barium preparation and other chemical mixtures for X-rays.
  • Observe patient and machine during procedure and report unusual occurrences and record patient's condition.
  • Develop film in accordance with photographic techniques.
  • Clean and disinfect X-ray room and equipment.
  • Prepare patient for X-ray, explaining procedures, transferring patient to table, positioning patient, and assisting patient at end of procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of ARRT accredited program.
  • The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration. Current CPR certification. State certifications/licensure as required by the state in which employed.
  • One year experience in diagnostic imaging.
