University of New Mexico - Hospitals is seeking a skilled Critical Care Educator to join our team. As a critical care educator, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical and non-clinical educational programs for our operational components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of our staff and patients
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure adherence to hospital and departmental policies and procedures
  • Provide leadership in all areas of professional practice, creating a healthy work environment and ensuring educational goals are aligned with organizational goals and strategic plan
  • Integrate best practice based on evidence into all educational activities, demonstrating ability to conduct a thorough literature review and disseminate research findings
  • Establish collegial partnerships with other professionals, leaders, stakeholders, and others who contribute to the development of peers, staff, students, colleagues, and others

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related field (preferred)
  • 3 years directly related experience
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer certification
  • RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement

Working Conditions:

  • Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people
  • Significant Hazard: Chemicals, Bio Hazardous Materials requiring PPE
