Job Title:
Special Process Welder Journeyman

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Special Process Welder Journeyman to join our team at Bechtel Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for applying technical knowledge and practical welding skills to ensure the highest quality of work.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Must possess the necessary skill sets to pass the pre-employment welding examination.
  • Apply technical knowledge and practical welding skills to ensure the highest quality of work.
  • Assist in component installation, fit-up and alignment.
  • Must be familiar with the equipment required to perform Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) or Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) processes.
  • Verify the position of metal components in assembly, using straight edge, combination square, calipers, and rule.
  • Utilize conventional tools for preparation of welding and clean up.
  • Tack-weld components to secure in position for welding.
  • Must be familiar with weld acceptance criteria and perform front line examination of the welding work performed.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • Must possess the necessary skill sets to pass the pre-employment welding examination.
  • Must be familiar with the equipment required to perform Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) or Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) processes.
  • Must be familiar with weld acceptance criteria.

Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
