We are currently in search of a committed, empathetic, and proactive Registered Nurse-PRN to join our vibrant team in Bullhead City.
Work Schedule: This role offers a PRN arrangement with the flexibility to choose between 8-hour or 10-hour shifts, including opportunities to work on Saturdays.
Compensation: $38 per hour.
Job Responsibilities
Your main duty will involve providing care to children and adult patients requiring psychiatric support in an outpatient environment. You will engage with a diverse clientele with varying needs, allowing you to utilize your nursing skills in a dynamic setting. Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding and adhering to the State of Arizona Nursing Rules and Regulations while collaborating with the Clinical Supervisor to maintain unit standards.
- Working closely with clients and their families to support their stabilization over time.
- Administering injections, drawing blood, and sending samples to the laboratory.
- Conducting initial and annual assessments.
- Delivering medications as required.
- Administering methadone on Saturdays, at least every four weeks, as per program requirements.
- Ensuring medication availability for service participants.
- Receiving medication orders from physicians via telephone and maintaining medication records in compliance with State regulations.
- Collaborating with prescribers to monitor and adjust medication orders.
- Completing documentation and record-keeping in accordance with SBH/ADHS standards.
- Participating in clinical case staffing.
- Assisting with primary care provider coordination.
- Contributing to the SBH chart audit process.
- Providing therapeutic interactions and activities.
- Performing additional duties as necessary to ensure compliance and adequate service delivery.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Arizona.
- A minimum of one year of experience in behavioral health and/or healthcare nursing.
- Fingerprint clearance issued by the AZ Department of Public Safety or eligibility to obtain it within eight weeks of hire.
- Valid Arizona driver's license and motor vehicle clearance.
