The Department of Psychology is seeking applications for Adjunct Faculty for the upcoming semester. These positions are filled on a semester-by-semester basis to instruct psychology courses.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching both introductory and advanced courses within the Department of Psychology.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
delivering in-person and/or online courses, participating in training and review sessions.
Additional responsibilities may include academic advising for students, supporting student organizations, and engaging in program development and evaluation.
The selected candidate will be expected to collaborate effectively with faculty and staff across the department and the university.Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The mission of the Department of Psychology is to guide students through various fields of human activity that necessitate the application of psychological principles.
The Department is tasked with providing a curriculum leading to a B.A. in Psychology, along with supporting courses for General Education aimed at non-majors. This is achieved through relevant coursework, laboratory experiences, research initiatives, and empirical learning opportunities.Moreover, the program aims to instill fundamental values of commitment, integrity, and dedication in teaching, research, and community service.
The Department of Psychology operates within the College of Health and Human Sciences.Minimum Requirements
Applicants must possess a Master's degree in Psychology at the time of application.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Preference will be given to candidates with 1-3 years of teaching experience at the University or Community College level.
