CUMULUS MEDIA stands as a leader in radio and digital media along the Gulf Coast. Our portfolio includes five prominent radio stations, providing a platform for top professionals in the industry. Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the control board in a radio station environment, managing both live and pre-recorded local and syndicated programming.
  • Ensure timely playback of commercials while maintaining accurate commercial and transmitter logs.
  • Select and manage bumper music as necessary, ensuring smooth transitions back to live programming.
  • Update and monitor weather, traffic, and news reports through automation systems.
  • Monitor for EAS Alerts, Amber Alerts, and breaking news updates.
  • Oversee the technical quality and accuracy of on-air programming from the master control room.
  • Assist in adjusting signals and programming content to comply with federal broadcast standards.
Qualifications:
  • Some experience in college radio or small market radio is preferred.
  • Prior experience in board operation is advantageous.
  • Audio production skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with FCC regulations and EAS guidelines is required.
  • Proficient in using software such as Microsoft Office Suite, OpX, AudioVault, Wide Orbit, ENCO, Soundgorge, Nuendo, Adobe Audition, or other audio editing and automation tools.
  • Basic knowledge of electronic wiring and sound system setup is beneficial.
  • Experience with audio mixers and remote monitoring systems for radio broadcasts is preferred.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, with most hours falling during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
