OverviewThe Construction Superintendent will oversee the day-to-day activities of a large scale commercial project in the Greater Milwaukee area. This role is ideal for an experienced construction professional looking to take on a leadership position with a top integrated designer/general contractor.
Salary and Benefits
This competitive role offers a base salary of $120,000 annually, plus a strong bonus structure. Job Description
As a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for executing the project schedule and communicating progress with project managers and owners. You will also organize, coordinate, and supervise the work of Foremen and employees on the job site, prioritize and assign work activities among employees according to deadlines, abilities, and/or specialized training, manage labor costs for the project, ensure employees are trained on work standards, their duties, job site rules, and safety standards, complete and maintain project documents including equipment maintenance reports, activity logs, safety reports and time keeping records, inspect job site day to day to ensure conformity to specifications of contract, manage employee performance and conduct, and make sure site meets all health and safety standards. You will also ensure a smooth project closeout process by finalizing, demobilizing all resources, and transitioning project to the owner along with the Project Manager.
Requirements
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent with at least 5 years of experience in the construction industry on projects larger than $5M+. A minimum of 3 years of direct supervisory experience is required, as well as knowledge of a wide range of construction materials, methods, and techniques. The successful applicant must be able to read and comprehend blueprints and specifications for institutional, commercial and industrial projects, develop Relationships with key stakeholder, such as owners, subcontractors, project managers, field employees, have a solid understanding of project cost analysis, and proficiency with spreadsheets, Email and other software used in the construction industry. Ability to travel and work in remote locations is also required.
