Job Description

Uncommon Schools NYC is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our Principal Fellowship program. As a Principal Fellow, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and gain hands-on experience in a high-performing school environment.

Program Overview

The Principal Fellowship is a two-year program designed to prepare aspiring school leaders for success in our network of schools. Through a combination of coursework, coaching, and hands-on experience, you will develop the skills and knowledge necessary to lead a school and drive student achievement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in a comprehensive leadership development program, including coursework, coaching, and mentoring
  • Gain hands-on experience in a high-performing school environment, working closely with experienced school leaders
  • Develop and implement a personalized leadership development plan, aligned with the needs of our schools and students
  • Collaborate with colleagues and school leaders to drive student achievement and school improvement

  • Passionate commitment to the mission of Uncommon Schools NYC and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students and families
  • Strong leadership skills and a proven track record of success in a school or educational setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, students, and families

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform decision-making
