Speech Language Pathologist SLP Per Diem Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide evaluation and treatment to patients of all ages with speech, language, cognitive-communicative, voice and swallowing disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech, language, and cognitive-communicative skills, and develop individually tailored treatment plans to address their needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that reflect an understanding of patients' age, situation, and discharge plans.
- Monitor and document patient progress, and modify treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including diagnostic findings and treatment plans.
- Prepare accurate billing and coding to reflect care provided to patients.
- Orient, train, and mentor Speech Language Pathology and healthcare students to achieve stated performance expectations.
- Identify and implement performance improvement opportunities to ensure best practices in patient care.
- Masters Degree in Communication Disorders from an ASHA-accredited university program.
- Licensed (and in good standing) in Speech Language Pathology by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association or meet educational requirements for certification.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Basic skills in math and computer science.
- Appropriate knowledge of speech language evaluation and treatment techniques to manage the rehabilitation population.
- Effective problem-solving skills for speech language evaluation, interpretation, treatment planning, and execution.
- Basic skills in teaching others and self-assessment of learning needs, strengths, and professional goals.
- Safely execute all job responsibilities without risking injury to self or patients.
- Computer proficiency, with Microsoft Office applications preferred.
- Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently, be self-directed, and contribute as a member of a team.
- Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.
- High level of service delivery, with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing situations.
- Attention to detail.
