About the Role

The RN - Assistant Director of Nursing will assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Services department. This role requires a deep understanding of geriatric nursing practices and experience in post-acute care settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • AAS or BSN degree from an accredited college or university
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing; maintain licensure throughout employment
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in geriatric nursing, preferably in post-acute care settings
  • CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; maintain current certification

Essential Functions

  • Assist the DON in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the Nursing Services department
  • Supervise and manage nursing staff, including interviewing, selecting, hiring, training, evaluating, and promoting
  • Ensure high-quality patient care by overseeing daily operations and maintaining infection control standards
  • Perform duties of a staff nurse as needed, providing direct patient care when required
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to company policies and procedures

Salary Estimate

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
