Key ResponsibilitiesWe are in search of a seasoned Transportation Engineer. In the role of a Professional Engineer, you will play a crucial part in the successful delivery of civil engineering initiatives within the transportation domain. Your duties will encompass the full project lifecycle, from initial concept through to construction support. This position demands a skilled professional who can autonomously manage projects, lead a team of engineers, and cultivate client relationships.
- Direct the creation of preliminary project design concepts and develop detailed project plans, including staffing needs and timelines.
- Implement project designs effectively, ensuring resource management aligns with budgetary and scheduling parameters.
- Supervise engineering service support during bidding and construction phases.
- Act as a project engineer, independently coordinating the activities of engineers, designers, and sub-consultants throughout project execution.
- Build and maintain client relationships, actively engaging in client meetings at various times.
- Contribute to marketing initiatives, contract formulation, and design execution.
- Oversee the financial management of assigned engineering projects, adjusting efforts to guarantee timely and budget-compliant project completion.
- Simultaneously handle multiple projects and clients, showcasing exceptional organizational capabilities.
- Utilize engineering and design software, including but not limited to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant applications, to produce high-quality engineering and design documentation.
- Take responsibility for project team quality assurance tasks as outlined in Quality Assurance / Quality Control protocols.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess construction progress and fulfill other responsibilities specified in contract documents.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in the field or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer license (PE) is mandatory.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing transportation engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to independently coordinate and guide a project team.
- Exceptional client management and communication skills, evidenced by successful client interactions.
- Proficient in engineering and design software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other pertinent tools.
