Early Head Start Child Care Partnership Family Support Specialist

InsideHigherEd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Family Advocate to join our team in the Early Head Start Child Care Partnership program. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting families in achieving their self-sufficiency goals, engaging them in their children's learning activities, and connecting them with community resources.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit eligible families through participation in community events and partnerships;
- Collaborate with the Family and Community Partnership Manager and other Advocates to ensure timely service delivery and full enrollment;
- Conduct family interviews to identify strengths and needs;
- Develop follow-up plans and make referrals for necessary services;
- Perform required screenings and assessments;
- Facilitate parent involvement and assist with meetings;
- Collect donations and provide support to families;
- Attend health-related screenings and meetings;
- Maintain accurate family records and data entry;
- Submit attendance reports and ensure program compliance;
- Bachelor's degree in Social Service or related field, or relevant experience;
- Successful completion of drug screening and background check;
- Valid driver's license;
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications;
- Annual physical and Tuberculosis vaccination;
- Own transportation required;
- Monday-Friday schedule;
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors;
- Standing, sitting, walking, lifting, and moving objects;
- Physical strength to lift various weights;
