Position Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of four and a half years of experience as a fully qualified automotive service technician. A high school diploma or equivalent vocational training, complemented by a one-year trade school course, is mandatory. Additionally, candidates must be eligible to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
For second shift roles, working hours are Monday through Friday, from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
Position Description:
Under general supervision, the technician will engage in a variety of skilled and unskilled tasks related to the inspection, maintenance, and repair of automotive and heavy-duty equipment, including all associated components. A solid understanding of the operation and construction of internal combustion engines and hydraulic systems is essential. The ability to diagnose operational issues in automotive and hydraulic machinery is required.
Preference will be given to candidates with contractual rights to the position.
Technicians must be capable of executing work assignments at the automotive service technician level, which includes transmission repairs, emergency work, and planned overtime as needed. Familiarity with the Company Safety Manual is necessary, along with the mechanical aptitude to utilize hand and power tools effectively.
Moreover, candidates should possess a comprehensive understanding of internal combustion engines and hydraulic systems, as well as the ability to identify and rectify operational deficiencies in automotive and hydraulic equipment.
Bargaining unit employees with contractual rights will receive priority consideration.
Compensation and Benefits:

Working Conditions:
Candidates must be prepared to undertake emergency restoration assignments as required and may need to travel as necessary between Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
