Job Summary:
Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Internal Agency Tier 3. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, teach, and delegate to other personnel in the performance of activities related to nursing care.
- Work within areas of designated competency per Internal Agency Grid, demonstrating the ability to work in greater than 85% of designated areas.
- Obtain and maintain current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS.
- Pass an arrhythmia exam within 30 days after hire date.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse Licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky or a Current Registered Nurse Licensure with a multistate compact status.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
