The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse responsible for delivering safe and effective patient care based on established nursing theories and research. Key responsibilities include:
Patient Care Responsibilities- Delivering patient care by utilizing the principles of Relationship Centered Care.
- Assessing and evaluating patient needs while applying critical thinking in care management.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
- Educating patients and families about their care and health promotion.
- Communicating effectively with all members of the healthcare team.
- Practicing patient-centered care while identifying areas for improvement.
- Engaging in quality improvement projects and evidence-based practices.
- Utilizing technology to document nursing practices and support quality initiatives.
- Advancing clinical skills and contributing to a supportive environment for colleagues and patients.
- Participating in decision-making processes and nursing committees.
Skills Required: NYS RN License, BLS, PALS, ACLS certifications, and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience in the Emergency Department.
