Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Presbyterian Healthcare Services. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing routine and advanced respiratory care to patients, managing ventilators, implementing cardiorespiratory protocols, and performing advanced airway care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide routine and advanced respiratory care to patients, including ventilator management and cardiorespiratory protocols.
  • Assist physicians with bronchoscopy procedures, including monitoring and assessment of the level of consciousness, cardiovascular and pulmonary systems, and delivery of IV conscious sedation agents.
  • Initiate and monitor high frequency ventilators, and perform advanced airway care, including tracheotomy changes, extubation, and intubation.
  • Initiate and monitor nitric oxide delivery, and perform department-specific functions as detailed within the summary of the department-specific duties.
Requirements:
  • Two to three years of college-level courses or an Associate Degree in Respiratory Care.
  • New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License and Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC.
  • ACLS and/or PALS, and BLS required.
  • Six months to one year of critical care experience preferred.
