Job Summary

The Property & Casualty Risk Engineer will play a critical role in providing our underwriting team with a deep understanding of clients' operations and advising them on best practices to mitigate risks. This position requires a strong proficiency in hazard identification, risk assessment, and loss prevention, with a focus on property, general liability, products, and workers' compensation coverages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site risk assessments and evaluations to identify potential hazards and develop recommendations for improved practices.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement risk management strategies, including business continuity planning, employee safety training, and safety committee support.
  • Provide comprehensive reports and recommendations to underwriting partners to inform risk selection, pricing, and underwriting techniques.
  • Engage with existing and prospective customers to discuss risk engineering services and support client needs.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in property, casualty, and workers' compensation insurance risk management and loss prevention functions.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Industrial Engineering, Safety & Health, Biology, or Chemistry-related degrees.
  • Possessing relevant professional designations or certifications such as CSP, CFPS, CIH, or ARM is highly desirable.
