We are seeking a Principal Investigator to lead the development of MEMS-based Inertial Products aimed at enhancing Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) solutions. This position is crucial for shaping the technical direction, ensuring product excellence, and advising leadership on strategic technology initiatives that align with customer demands and market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Principal Investigator, your duties will encompass:
- Overseeing the design and development of embedded hardware and software that implements advanced digital signal processing and control solutions.
- Identifying key industry challenges and opportunities that can be addressed within our product frameworks.
- Establishing essential technologies and competencies necessary for resolving customer issues and facilitating product advancements.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to create Multi-Generational Technology Plans that align with product strategies.
- Partnering with product leaders and research teams to secure funding for R&D initiatives that drive technological advancements.
- Leading R&D projects with both internal and external collaborators to enhance technological capabilities.
- Working with Application Engineers to define innovative product solutions utilizing new or existing technologies.
- Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Building and nurturing industry relationships through participation in conferences and technical symposiums.
- Influencing key technical decision-makers to align with our product and service strategies.
- Contributing to the growth and mentorship of engineering talent and engaging in strategic workforce planning.
- Collaborating with various teams to pursue new business opportunities and prepare proposals.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in technical product development or technology research roles.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
- This role necessitates the use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions.
- Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screening process.
- Master's degree in engineering, computer science, aeronautics, or a related field.
- Proven technical expertise in areas such as embedded systems design, digital signal processing, and control systems.
- Experience with fault-tolerant system design and model-based engineering.
- Familiarity with navigation systems and emerging trends in sensor technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of addressing complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect technical decisions to business outcomes.
- Strategic thinking capabilities to develop technical roadmaps for product evolution.
