Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Radiology Registrar to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for admitting and registering patients to the hospital, ensuring excellent patient service, and upholding the mission statement and expectations of the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Perform admission of patients by completing all required fields in an accurate and timely manner.
- Verify physician orders, patient information, insurance information, and obtain any additional needed information at the time of admission.
- Perform pre-registration of patients by completing all required fields in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain access to and competent in using the internet to verify insurance eligibility and authorization information.
- Create patient visits in Registration from scheduled visits by entering all detail information in a timely manner.
- Collect patient liabilities at the time of admission and assist with calls to patients to negotiate and collect point-of-service payments.
- Scan documents as required to the system, ensuring correct placement and assignment of the documents.
- Verify all required information is signed and scanned at the time of admissions.
- Provide exemplary customer service by immediately greeting patients with a courteous smile, introducing yourself, and providing a quick, proficient, and accurate registration.
- Communicate effectively and work cooperatively and professionally with all coworkers, management, patients, visitors, physicians, and others.
- Document concisely, precisely, and accurately in the system and on records, patient account notes, or documents for every patient contact.
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct to the appropriate destination.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical registration experience, radiology terminology, and basic office skills preferred. Computer skills required.
