About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer III to join our AFT Inbound team. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering software solutions to automate the receipt and processing of billions of units of inventory from Amazon's vendors and third-party sellers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop large-scale, distributed software systems to optimize the fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with engineers to design and develop high-quality software solutions that meet Amazon's technical standards.
  • Mentor and lead junior engineers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure code quality meets Amazon's standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development and apply this knowledge to improve our software solutions.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
  • Experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
