Job Title: Orthopedic Nurse Coordinator

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year

Huntsville Hospital is seeking an experienced Orthopedic Nurse Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with medical staff, administrative staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care throughout the surgery process.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to prioritize tasks efficiently, and have a strong understanding of patient education and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop standardized care plans with surgeons, including pre-optimization, pre-op, post-op, and discharge.
  • Ensure appropriate pre-op optimization preparation for every patient.
  • Provide patient education, support, and coordination of care.
  • Monitor surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff in a professional and friendly manner.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Current Alabama Nursing License required.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Previous nursing experience in a critical care setting preferred.
