Job Title: Data Engineering Manager

Publicis Health Media is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Manager to join our Technology and Data Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the processing and maintenance of all data that flows into our organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, with experience in ETL and data warehouse principles. You will work closely with internal and external partners to monitor data transfers, perform data quality assurance, and maintain documentation. Additionally, you will support the Vice President of Data Engineering in enforcing enterprise-wide data processes and protocols.

This is a hybrid role, requiring three days in-office each week. This job is open to candidates who are willing to work out of our Philadelphia, Chicago, or New York offices.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a portfolio of data projects across different clients in the agency
  • Collaborate with various teams, including Media Tech, BI, Media, Strategy, Investments, and Tech & Data
  • Utilize the agency warehouse and ETL solutions to oversee data transfers
  • Implement data flow automation to retrieve, transform, and load data
  • Manage data management responsibilities, including ETL/data feed management and metadata management
  • Review processes to ensure data stability, security, and compliance
  • Present issues, trends, and recommendations to internal and external teams
  • Provide solutions for data needs and issue resolutions with the Data Engineering, Technology, and Data and BI teams
  • Maintain best practices for handling, storing, and using data
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Requirements:
  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience tracking and resolving BI and database-related incidents and requests
  • Experience with database structures, theories, principles, and practices
  • Experience with ETL and data warehouse principles
  • Technical documentation skills
  • Experience communicating complex updates and resolutions to partners in user-friendly language
  • Specific Skills Required:
  • Minimum 4 years of SQL experience, 3 years of ETL experience, 3 years of analyzing data sets
  • Minimum 4 years of BI experience (Tableau, Datorama)
  • Excel (can perform complex functions) and data warehouse knowledge
  • Experience with large datasets
  • Experience with Web and Digital marketing data a plus
  • Tools:
    • SQL Server
    • BI Platforms – Tableau, Datorama (preferred)
    • Cloud Technologies – Databricks (preferred), AWS, Azure (preferred)
