Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team at Hannibal Regional Healthcare System. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, families, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Security and Support Services: Respond to security incidents, provide assistance to patients and families, and maintain a safe and secure environment throughout the healthcare system.
  • Environmental Services and Maintenance: Perform various environmental service duties, including cleaning and maintaining facilities, and minor maintenance tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Customer Service and Relations: Greet and serve visitors in a professional and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service and building positive relationships with patients, families, and staff.
  • Security Protocols and Procedures: Follow established security protocols and procedures, including de-escalation techniques, to ensure the safety and security of all individuals within the healthcare system.
  • Physical Abilities Testing: Participate in physical abilities testing to assess your ability to perform the physical demands of the job.
Requirements
  • Education and Training: High School Diploma or equivalent required; prior military, law enforcement, public service, or security training preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to handle security situations, stand and walk for prolonged periods, greet and serve visitors, and maintain cooperative working relationships with a diverse group.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Valid Class E driver's license in good standing and current BLS certification and 1st Aid.
