Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team at Petmate. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery, including visual inspections and troubleshooting.
  • Install and repair electrical and mechanical components, including wiring and hydraulic systems.
  • Lay out and assemble pipe systems and related equipment.
  • Operate cutting torch and welding equipment to cut and join metal parts.
  • Record repairs made and costs.
  • Train new and less qualified technicians in troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
  • Present summary of work-related events at staff meetings.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; industrial trade school education highly preferred.
  • Extensive experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift.
  • Normal color vision and ability to work all shifts.
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting and repairs of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems.
  • Team-oriented individual with excellent leadership skills and ability to train and develop others.
  • Ability to perform basic functions on a computer.
Working Conditions

Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, or crawl. Frequently exposed to extreme temperatures in warehouse environment. Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Frequently exposed to conditions typically found in a manufacturing plant: noise, dust, heat, and chemicals.
