Position Overview
As a key member of Valence Media's Accounting team, the Senior Accounting Specialist will report directly to the VP, Controller. This role collaborates closely with various departments across Film, Television, and Shared Services.

Main Responsibilities:
- Execute daily corporate accounting tasks, including accounts receivable, cash management, account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial statements, annual disclosures, and third-party reporting.
- Support the annual audit process and facilitate third-party participation audits.
- Conduct account reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and manage cash forecasting.
- Monitor and report on financial commitments.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects as required.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably with a background in public accounting; CPA or CPA in progress is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and experience in financial statement preparation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Great Plains and Concur.
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and communication skills, with the ability to manage details while maintaining a broader perspective.
- A proactive learner with a passion for the entertainment industry.
- Familiarity with ASC606 revenue recognition for Film and TV license agreements is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
