The University Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Counselor III - IHOC to join our team. As a licensed therapist, you will provide culturally sensitive, trauma-informed treatment for individuals and families of all ages who have experienced or witnessed child maltreatment, domestic violence, and/or sexual assault in a multidisciplinary setting.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-home counseling on a weekly basis for clients enrolled in the Family Preservation (FP) program.
- Assess child and caregiver needs, including the completion of standard psychological assessments.
- Design interventions to promote child safety and permanency, enhance caregiver capacity, and build on strengths.
- Provide in-home skills building, individual and/or family therapy, and other services as required or suggested by the Clinical Supervisor.
- Attend required meetings and trainings, including MCPCs, CFTs, and other team case meetings.
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy.
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- Completed or willing to complete State Certification in Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
- Completed training in Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
- Computer competency, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to conduct standard psychological assessments and prepare professional reports in a timely manner.
- Establish mutually respectful relationships in a multidisciplinary team environment and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion, make diagnostic and intervention suggestions, and triage or prioritize client problems.
This position is employed through The University Corporation and requires working in an office setting with a low-to-moderate noise level. The employee will need to utilize their personal vehicle for travel to and from meetings outside the office and regularly communicate by telephone, written communications, and in-person with staff, families served, partners, funders, and other professionals.
